When we learned that NFC-DC Doublerun Cole Bier was being bred to FC Royalerun All Bets Are Off, we knew we had to have a pup from that litter. We chose a pup that looked good to us, a beautiful little male that we named Royalerun Sam Adams. He was born in April 2009 and has entered training and has been competed in Field Trials all the way through to his Field Champion title at age 3!
He is now retired and living the high life with his friends, Daniel and Savannah Morris!
Here is a list of Sam's accomplishments:
Third Place Open Puppy GSP Club of Middle Tennessee November 19-22, 2009
Fourth Place Open Puppy GSP Club of South Georgia December 4-6, 2009
Fourth Place Open Puppy Central Florida GSPC December 18-20, 2009

When Sam retired from competition, we sent him to hunt the quail season at Burnt Pine Plantation so he would not become bored and so that he would retain the fine skills he displayed during his career on the field trial circuit.
We received the following comment (November 2015) from a guide at Burnt Pine about our Sam, and we would like for you to know that he passes his quality to his puppies!
"My name is Daniel Morris, and I am a Full Time Upland Guide at Burnt Pine Plantation in Newborn GA. I guide upland hunts exclusively 6 days a week from October until the end of March. My Clients typically harvest 450 birds a week on average. This weekly number mainly includes Quail, but pheasants and chukars are also common. Large, overgrown, standing corn and sorghum fields are the typical styles of cover hunted at Burnt Pine Plantation.
I have hunted FC Royalerun Sam Adams on multiple hunts, both over clients and personally. FC Royalerun Sam Adams is a high drive, bird finding machine. Even under the toughest conditions Sam always comes up with a bird. He is rock steady on point, displaying both steadiness and style on every covey. After the shot retrieving is second nature to Sam. Precise marking and quick retrieves are desired by Upland Guides at Burnt Pine, and Sam has no problem with either of these.
Sam displays great team work finding birds with other dogs. He backs and honors like a true gentleman. Sam also has a hidden quality that not all GSP’s possess. He has an on/off switch. In the field he is ALL business, but around the kennel he is calm, collected and confident. Several times after a hunt Sam has earned a spot to ride in the truck with clients. FC Royalerun Sam Adams acts like a person, and at times looks as if he is involved in the conversation taking place.
FC Royalerun Sam Adams is the German Shorthair Pointer every Upland Guide wants on their team. He is an A+ player in my book.
